Events & Marketing Coordinator

Our client, a local private sector is looking for an Events & Marketing Coordinator to join their team. Reporting to the Marketing and Engagement Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning, designing, organising, and coordinating events, ensuring timely project delivery. 
• Events encompass a range from continuous professional education events to conferences, member social gatherings, among others.
• Collaborate with technical, marketing, and finance representatives to understand event needs and achieve objectives. 
• Coordinate facilities, manage event details in the system, handle bookings and cancellations, oversee venue setup, catering, entertainment, transportation, guest lists, equipment, and promotional materials. 
• Prepare finance reports and ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health, and safety requirements. 
• Work closely with marketing and PR for event promotion. 
• Conduct pre- and post-event evaluations, maintain event records, perform general administrative duties, and handle other tasks as assigned.
• Contributing to the development, communication, and implementation of plans for desired events and projects.
• Assisting in coordinating, organising, and participating in educational events, conferences, visits, and fairs.
• Playing a supportive role in leading new initiatives, with a focus on education.

A 12-month definite contract of employment, possibility to change to indefinite at the end of the 12-month period (subject to business exigencies & performance feedback).

• 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent level of written and verbal Maltese and English languages.
• Self-motivator and able to work under minimal supervision.
