Storekeeper

The Malta National Aquarium is currently looking to recruit a Storekeeper to join their team on a full-time basis.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To manage inventory, oversee stock movement, and ensure seamless operations within the storage facilities.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and stock movements
• Ensure proper labelling, storage, and organization of items within the store
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock against purchase orders or invoices
• Properly package, label, and arrange items for storage or distribution
• Prepare orders for delivery or shipment as per requirements
• Inspect and report any damages, defects, or discrepancies in received stock
• Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests as needed
• Coordinate with purchasing or procurement teams to ensure timely stock replenishment
• Maintain accurate documentation related to inventory transactions
• Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and any discrepancies
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with storage regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on stock requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in managing inventory, preferably in a Food & Beverage environment
• Proven experience in storekeeping or a similar role
• Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling stock
• Good physical stamina for lifting and moving items as required
• Holding a valid and clean driving licence
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
