SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated Employment Lawyer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of employment law, HR administration, HR compliance, and company policies and procedures. They will be responsible for a variety of tasks with a strong focus on employment law.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• Manage judicial proceedings in the field of employment law;
• Manage disciplinary proceedings against employees;
• Support in the management of inspections relating to personnel, carried out by external entities;
• Provide legal advice to the company on employment law matters;
• Manage, prepare, and verify the correctness and completeness of mandatory and/or necessary documents relating to the employment relationships of employees;
• Draft employment contracts and contractual updates;
• Perform HR compliance activities;
• Oversee the work permits process;
• Support the direct superior in the management of requests for acquisition of video surveillance images;
• Maintain up-to-date reports;
• Ensure the correct filing of documentation;
• Develop company policies and procedures;
• Train company staff on subjects within their area of expertise;
• Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in employment law.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
• Degree in Law awarded by a Maltese University;
• Previous experience working in a structured HR Department would be considered an asset;
• Strong understanding of employment law, HR compliance, and company policies and procedures;
• Excellent command of English both written and verbal;
• Knowledge of Italian would be considered an asset;
• Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications especially Excel;
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and team-oriented;
• Strong work ethic;
• Meticulous attention to detail.
