Malta Marriott Hotel & Spa is currently looking to recruit a Payroll Executive to join their team on a full-time basis.

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Executive to join the Human Resources Department of the Malta Marriott Resort & Spa, part of Marriott International and one of Malta’s leading 5-star hotels.

The Payroll Executive will be responsible for the preparation of payroll for all the hotel associates by maintaining all time clock information, and processing authorized adjustments as requested by hotel policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing and directing the operation and maintenance of the full payroll system
  • Prepare monthly payroll journals for monthly ledger posting
  • Manage all tax returns, social security reports and all other payroll related to government reporting
  • Maintaining complete and accurate earnings records for each employee
  • Keeping control over employee vacation and social security entitlements and coordinating payments
  • Liaise with Outsourcing companies for outsourced staff to be paid accurately
  • Maintain associates’ confidence and protect operations by keeping an updated employee file system, ensuring all records are filed and stored in a confidential manner
  • Submit associates' data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data
  • Support with the organization of associate events
  • Assist in any departmental projects.


Requirements:

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of all tax and other government regulation
  • Experience working in a similar role, ideally for more than one year
  • Advanced Level of education
  • Must be able to work in a team
  • Must have a working knowledge of associates' contracts and agreements
  • Knowledge of the Indigo Payroll system will be preferred
  • Be able to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
