Data Governance Specialist

Are you passionate about data management and governance? We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Governance Specialist to join our client's dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the roll-out of Data Management initiatives across the organization, ensuring the effective governance and management of data assets.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of data governance strategies, coordinating activities across departments and providing support to business data stewards.
• Ensure completion of tasks by business data stewards and alignment of shared objectives with the Data Office to enhance data governance effectiveness.
• Identify critical data elements for governance, prioritizing based on strategic goals, regulatory requirements, and financial considerations.
• Manage the data domain on the data catalogue by adding metadata, defining data owners, mapping domains, and maintaining data definitions.
• Utilize data catalogue tools to assess critical data usage, oversee metadata input, and support data stewards in their responsibilities.
• Prioritize and address data quality issues by identifying and implementing remediation actions according to user-defined standards.
• Develop and manage training programs for data stewards and other personnel involved in data management across different units.

• At least four years of working experience in data governance.
• Previous experience in working with senior stakeholders across organisations.
• Proficiency in cloud-based data platforms, ideally Azure, Python and CLI environments.

• MQF Level 6 Degree in a related field.
